Welcome to Cafe Clock
Café Clock gives you access to the culture of Marrakech in the heart of the Kasbah.
In Fez since 2007, Cafe Clock Marrakech builds upon the success of its predecessor to create a cross-cultural zone in the heart of the Marrakech Kasbah. Cafe Clock is a space for arts, music, good food, talent and exchanging culture traditional and modern. Clock ‘Kech shares Clock Fez’s passion for mixing traditional with modern and local with foreign and creates a unique Clock atmosphere of a Marrakeshi flavor.
We’re located a 20-minute walk south from Jema el-Fna square, where we feel the ambiance of the square. Our Thursday night Hikayat, or traditional storytelling, performances are the old stories that were previously told in the square. We’re reviving the tradition and for the first time the tales are narrated for our audience in both English and Arabic.
Music and art weave cultures together. Keep up with our vibrant and ever-changing art exhibitions. Our Wednesday night Jam Sessions often feature hits you’ll recognize with a hip, traditional Moroccan beat. All musicians welcome– bring an instrument or borrow one. The Houariyat ladies entertain the crowds, turning the cafe in to a dance floor on Saturday evenings. Our Gnaoua troop brings in a crowd of all ages for our Sunday Sunset Concerts.
Let’s not forget the food! Not your typical cafe, Clock offers camel burgers, almond milkshakes, homemade ice cream and breakfast all day! Our modern Moroccan cafe fare includes plentiful vegetarian and vegan options, so there really is something for everyone! We can even cater to gluten-free diets.
Join us on the outdoor terrace or inside. We have a library where books are traded. And if you’re keen to delve into the secrets of Moroccan cuisine, our Clock Kitchen is waiting for you!
We are open every day of the week. Breakfast is served daily from 9 a.m., last orders for dinner by 10 p.m. (groups above 6 please reserve in advance). Participate in our cooking school or take a course in oud, calligraphy, or Kech Download. We want to show you what makes the Kasbah tick!
